Electrician 2 -- seeking someone with 18 months+ working under an experienced electrician and has a diploma/ GED/ formal education including reading and writing common English, addition/ subtraction. Would be excellent for a retired or advanced career candidate who is looking to have steady hours and not travel to various job locations. This will be a steady 40 hours per week with a set schedule performing basic electrical duties within our correctional facility. The selected candidate will lead a work crew of 3-4 incarcerated adult males who will be eagerly learning the electrical trade in hopes of finding employment upon release. The starting pay is $22.55/ hr with raises and 6 months, then annually up to $26.72 (plus longevity pay after 5 years) AND the candidate will have access to medical, dental, & vision coverage, paid leave (multiple weeks per year), state retirement with OPERS and Deferred Compensation.
