The GPO Process Optimization Specialist role is an opportunity to lead the implementation of best-in-class (BIC) standards and practices across Amazon's grocery network and the broader grocery industry. In this strategic role, you will be responsible for collecting, approving, and driving the execution of high-impact BIC initiatives. Key duties include facilitating governance processes, coordinating 3-year and annual planning, maintaining program calendars and change management frameworks, and establishing clear decision-making structures

Key job responsibilities

• This program entails the collection of best practices from best in class (BIC) sites, and implementation of governance mechanisms to ensure implementation of these BIC standards/best practices, within Amazon’s grocery network as well as competitor grocery landscape

• You will be the single threaded leader of the program for intake, approval, implementation and quantification of best practices within the Amazon grocery network.

• Be a governance facilitator that maintains structure, procedures and standard ways of working that follow a common language for project and program delivery.

• Facilitate three-year planning and annual planning for the GPO org. Conduct annual goal setting and subsequent monthly reporting to ensure a high-quality standard across the board.

• Maintain the org's calendar of major milestones, develop working backward plans for each, and ensure clear ownership, setting the org up for success

• Develop and maintain a comprehensive change management framework impacting internal and external stakeholder projects, including standardized processes, tools, and templates for planning, communicating, and reinforcing changes

• Establish clear governance structures and approval mechanisms to review and validate proposed changes, assess risks/impacts, and make "go/no-go" decisions

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, operations, supply chain, transportation logistics

  • Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) at an advanced level and SQL

  • 2+ years of program or project management experience

  • Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements

  • Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in Grocery, Retail or supply chain

  • Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization
