What we’re looking for:

Morgan Stanley is looking for a Network Instrumentation Engineer, who will be a part of global, divers team, which provides support and monitoring for the low latency trading plant. The candidate will be working with the latest technologies and will be predominantly responsible for management of Corvil infrastructure. This will involve:

· configuration and maintenance of Corvils and packet broker switches

· data analysis to provide required metrics and assistance with investigation of complex network and application-level issues.

· providing innovative solutions for advanced monitoring and metrics' requests from Business Unit customers.

Primary skills:

· An expert level of skills in configuration and maintenance of Corvil platform

· An advanced knowledge of the specific technologies to manage and support network instrumentation toolsets: Arista, cPaket, Cisco.

· A strong ability to analyze packet captures to help identify network and application issues.

· An excellent knowledge of data networking principles: TCP/IP, routing, switching.

· A good knowledge of network time synchronization concepts, technologies, and vendors: NTP, PTP, PPS, Spectracom, Meinberg, White Rabbit

· A good understanding of financial protocols: FIX, Native Exchange protocols

· Having scripting skills would be a plus.

· Ability to participate as part of a team.

· Excellent communication skills

· Desire to learn and adapt to new technology.

· Ability to prioritize along with good time management skills.

· Excellent problem-solving skills.

· High level of initiative, proactive approach

· Ability to work individually.

· Sense of ownership/accountability
