Be at the forefront of ensuring that Warner Music Group (WMG) sets the standards for excellence in metadata in the music industry. The Rights Management team sits within Warner Recorded Music Global Operations (WRMGO) group. As a team we oversee all aspects of rights data ingestion, metadata quality, entry and dissemination at WMG. As we continue to integrate with the exciting new global neighbouring rights portal feed (RDx) you will also be integral in implementing, improving and defining new processes to facilitate and grow WMG’s centralised rights management requirements. This will involve optimising any development changes needed to consume and interact with the metadata received or sent out in the feed, working confidently with large volumes of data and rolling out new processes with local WMG affiliates as they transition to RDx. Review, improve and develop current processes around management of track analysis, communication flows and metadata compliance as we transition to more affiliates and societies onboarding to RDx
Implement new processes to facilitate co-ordination of claims conflict management, gathering local WMG and local society requirements in an ever-changing environment
Assist the business in clearly defining metadata requirements, processes and documentation to facilitate accurate registration. Work to implement and educate labels across WMG on all standards and processes, to maintain accuracy in collaboration with our Product Data Management and Revenue Optimization teams
Identify improvements or suggestions of development around WMG’s DDEX registration feed into the RDx portal. Be involved in testing and analysing metadata as necessary, working with the development team to ensure the DDEX feed flows correctly and contains all information required
Work with our tech departments as needed to advise and facilitate on any developments, enhancements or work flow tool requirements needed to improve our neighbouring rights space
Liaise as required alongside other key senior Business Affairs and Rights Management stakeholders with external rights holders and societies who have either onboarded to RDx or are in the process of transitioning over. May involve co-ordination, preparation and performing data analysis reviews of large data sets and issues
Assist the team with error messages and claims conflicts resulting from RDx or via WMG affiliate communications
Manage review and merit process for the Rights Managements team, provide feedback to direct reports
About you:
You are educated to a minimum A-level standard (with good academic grades)
You are passionate about being highly organised, with an excellent consistent level of accuracy and attention to detail
