DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a talented Lead Investigator * * to join the Ethics and Compliance Investigations Team in UK/Europe.
This is a Hybrid role and can be based in any European country with a Cummins legal entity.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
Performing complex investigative work across all allegation types and regions.
Preparing and maintaining detailed confidential reports and summaries of investigations.
Collaborating with other functions and business units to encourage a work environment that enhances the employee experience by creating a safe, trusting, environment.
Managing improvements for the overall effectiveness and integrity of the investigations process.
Consults and supports investigators, processes, and capabilities for the investigations function aligned to performance goals.
Upholding Ethical Standards: Act as a role model by consistently applying business ethics policies, maintaining objectivity, and ensuring fair treatment for all parties involved.
Shaping Company Culture: Demonstrate and promote the company’s core values during investigations, contributing to a culture of trust, accountability, and transparency.
Strengthening Employee Relations: Balance the needs of the organization and its employees by making fair and just recommendations, fostering a supportive work environment.
Collaborating with Key Stakeholders: Work closely with human resources, legal, and leadership teams to align recommendations with company objectives and legal compliance.
Driving Continuous Improvement: Interpret trends in investigation data to proactively identify risks and opportunities for organizational improvement.
Building Team Capacity: Train, coach, and mentor others on investigation processes
RESPONSIBILITIES
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
Investigative Expertise: Strong interpersonal, analytical, and judgment skills to conduct thorough, unbiased investigations, including interviews and case management, and provide clear, actionable recommendations.
Ethical Leadership: High personal integrity and a commitment to promoting the organization’s values, ethical principles, and cultural competence while handling sensitive and confidential matters.
Cultural Agility: Ability to adapt to diverse cultural frameworks and norms, address personal biases, and continuously improve in diversity, equity, and inclusion practices to effectively manage investigations in a global environment.
Organizational and Influencing Skills: Exceptional ability to prioritize and manage a dynamic workload, synthesize investigative findings, and present recommendations clearly and persuasively to diverse stakeholders.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education/ Experience:
Bachelor’s degree (required), Master’s degree (preferred) in Human Resources, Business, Criminal Justice or related field.
Extensive professional experience in conducting workplace ethics and complianceand HR investigations or related field.
Experience in UK/EU cases and knowledge of GDPR and EU Whistleblowing legislation.
Experience in dealing with cases of fraud, conflict of interest, quality, sourcing, EHS, information technology, and security.
Experience of mentoring and developing investigators and developing investigation plans (preferred)
