Job Title: Financial Planning Intern (12 month FTC)

A little bit about our team:

Our Finance team plays a key role in our success and is responsible for the management of the company’s cash flow and forecasts. Our high performing team supports the business with a range of activities that include the day to day transactional accounting including Accounts Payable and Receivable through to advising longer term financing and providing information that assists our managers in making strategic decisions.

Your role:

The Financial Planning Intern will be supporting the Financial Planning Directors and analysts with tracking revenue, reporting and analysis to assist the team and labels in making decisons. You will also assist with onwards accounting to label partners and ensuring they paid in time. The role will provide insight into how artists and third party labels are performing and how spend affects performance.

Here you’ll get to:

  • You will be preparing weekly reports to track sales of key releases

  • You will be updating actual sales, flash and cost information to support yearly budgets and monthly forecasting

  • You will be assisting the Financial Planning Analyst with the preparation of monthly management packs

  • You will distribute monthly sales and cost statements to third party labels

  • You will be responding to queries regarding payments, sales and other general questions

  • You will be liaising with the Accounts Payable department to ensure suppliers are paid on time

  • You will be assisting with budget preparation and any analysis required

  • You will be gaining valuable exposure to month-end financial reporting and balance sheet reconciliations

  • You will be assisting with the development of new finance processes and systems enhancements

  • You will be assisting the team with management reporting preparation

  • You will be assisting the team with other ad-hoc queries

About you:

  • Accounting or STEM graduate.

  • You are a creative individual with a passion for music and ready to bring lots of new ideas to the table

  • You will have great organizational skills with impeccable attention to detail

  • You have first class communication skills and ability to build strong working relationships, with both the Finance and label teams and also with third parties

  • You have a strong desire to learn and develop skillset in a fast-paced environment

  • You are a team player who is happy to ‘muck in’ – no task is too big or small

  • You have the ability to work well under pressure and to meet tight deadlines.

  • You have the ability to work with spreadsheets and have some understanding of excel

  • Strong analytical skills and ability to work through problems logically and with perspective. Dilligent with excellent attention to detail.
