A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A DIRECTOR OF SALES & MARKETING AT THE WESTIN LONDON CITY

What you'll be doing…

Reporting to the General Manager, you can expect your working day to include the following.

  • Developing and implementing comprehensive sales and marketing plans to achieve revenue targets and maximize profitability.

  • Conducting market research and analysis to identify opportunities for growth and development.

  • Overseeing the creation and execution of marketing campaigns across various channels, including digital, print, and social media. Ensuring all campaigns are aligned with brand guidelines and target the appropriate audience.

  • Managing the hotel's brand image and reputation through effective branding strategies and customer engagement initiatives. Ensuring consistency in messaging and branding across all touchpoints.

  • Working closely with the revenue management team to optimize pricing strategies and maximize revenue potential. Analysing pricing trends and adjust strategies as needed to drive profitability.

  • Leading and motivating the sales and marketing team to achieve individual and collective goals. Providing coaching, training, and development opportunities to enhance team performance.

  • Collaborating with other departments, including operations, finance, and guest services, to ensure seamless integration of sales and marketing efforts with overall hotel operations.

  • Monitoring and analysing sales and marketing performance metrics to track progress against goals. Prepare regular reports for senior management with insights and recommendations for improvement.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

To succeed in the role of Director of Sales & Marketing, you will need the following qualities and skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or related field. Master’s degree preferred.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales and marketing roles within the hospitality industry, with at least 2 years in a leadership position.

  • Experience of working within the London market

  • Proven track record of success in driving revenue growth and increasing market share.

  • Strong understanding of sales techniques, marketing principles, and brand management strategies.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to think strategically and make data-driven decisions.

  • Flexibility to travel as needed
