Are you a seasoned finance professional ready to significantly impact a dynamic, global environment? We are seeking an exceptional Finance Director to lead our financial operations across the EMEA and APAC regions. Key Responsibilities:
Operational Leadership: Drive finance operations for the EMEA and APAC regions, taking a hands-on approach in supporting a $150m+ business across diverse and exciting markets.
Executive Collaboration: Work closely with the US-based CFO and support the UK-based Chairman of the EMEA and APAC regions, contributing to strategic decision-making.
Local Finance Leadership with Global Coordination: Lead our UK-based finance team and collaborate with US corporate finance functions to ensure seamless operations and alignment.
Finance Liaison: Serve as a key finance partner for our client-facing EMEA and APAC businesses as well as our internal business functions, fostering collaboration and innovation.
Finance and Accounting Excellence: Provide crucial financial and strategic support, including financial planning, management reporting, and business analysis. Provide insight into, and help determine, treatment of complex transactions from accounting and/or tax perspectives.
Partnership and Growth: Partner with business leaders to drive financial forecasting and annual budgeting, supporting our growth ambitions.
Insightful Reporting: Deliver insightful monthly management reports and contribute to executive-level presentations that shape our future.
Cash Management: Partner with US-based CFO and Treasury team regarding EMEA and APAC cash management, cash forecasting, and working capital management to optimize financial performance.
Mentorship: Lead and mentor finance personnel in the UK and other international locations, nurturing the next generation of finance leaders.
Expansion Leadership: Manage new country openings and acquisitions in the EMEA and APAC regions, and lead all financial integrations, driving our continued international expansion.
Innovative Projects: Engage in special projects that challenge and excite you.Key Characteristics:
Experienced Leader: Significant experience in similar roles as a hands-on Finance Director or Senior Controller, within a private equity environment or US headquartered group. Experience within professional services and highly matrixed environment desired.
Transformational Manager: Proven managerial and leadership skills, with a track record of driving organizational transformation and change management.
Collaborative Partner: Experience partnering with departments such as Human Resources, Marketing, Legal, etc., to achieve holistic success.
Technical and Global Expertise: Strong knowledge of international accounting standards, local statutory requirements and taxation in diverse regions including the UK, Germany , France, Singapore, China, India, Hong Kong, and the Middle East.
Communicative Influencer: Exceptional communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and experience in delivering executive-level presentations and budgeting.
Basic Qualifications:
Educational Background: The successful candidate will be ACA Qualified and have extensive post-qualification experience. A bachelor’s degree is required; an MBA, CTA, or other advanced degrees are a plus.
Technical Proficiency: Experience with Workday is advantageous, along with advanced proficiency in Excel.
Flexibility and Dedication: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment. Willingness to travel (less than 10%) and work overtime as needed. We operate a hybrid work environment in our London office and you would be expected to work from our London office a minimum of 3 days a week,
