THE JOB
As the Communications Director (EMEA) at Ticketmaster, you will play a critical role in shaping the company's narrative across multiple platforms and markets, supporting the growth of Ticketmaster’s product offerings and enhancing brand visibility. Reporting to the VP of Communications, you will support them with both external and internal communications efforts, connecting key stakeholders—fans, clients, and employees—through powerful storytelling and strategic messaging. This is an exciting opportunity to elevate Ticketmaster’s brand voice while managing high-impact communications projects across the UK and Europe.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
Press Office Management: Take the lead with the press office, coordinating all inbound press requests and maintaining strong relationships with media outlets to ensure timely responses.
Develop Campaigns: Craft and execute both seasonal and annual communications strategies that align with the company’s goals, working closely with the data insights team as well as key product, marketing, client management, and partner teams.
Craft Compelling Messaging: Write, proofread, and edit key messaging, press releases, narratives, and FAQs, ensuring alignment with the company’s brand voice and objectives across all teams and spokespeople.
Collaborate with Agencies & Internal Teams: Work closely with in-house teams and external agencies to implement strategies that maximize brand impact and drive results.
Execute Internal & External Events: Lead the development and execution of internal events while supporting the team on high-profile external events, conferences, and media engagements, ensuring that Ticketmaster’s presence is powerful and consistent.
Monitor & Analyze Media: Manage media monitoring tools, keeping stakeholders informed of relevant breaking news and industry mentions, and adjusting strategies accordingly.
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW or TECHNICAL SKILLS
Communications Expertise: A strong background in public relations, communications, marketing, or media relations, ideally with experience working with global brands and a mix of agency and in-house roles.
Exceptional Written & Verbal Communication: Outstanding skills in crafting compelling, clear, and effective communications across various platforms and audiences.
Industry Knowledge: Experience working in or understanding the live event or ticketing industry is a huge plus.
Creative Campaign Mindset: Proven ability to develop and execute creative communications campaigns from concept to completion, bringing a fresh, strategic perspective to each project.
Expertise in Media Channels: Deep knowledge of both traditional and digital media channels, with the ability to connect brands to key audiences including influencers, fans, and clients.
