Job Description:

The Global Compliance Department is responsible for overseeing regulatory compliance across TD Bank Group in accordance with the Global Compliance Operating Framework. The team is accountable for promoting regulatory compliance by developing and maintaining compliance programs, including identifying and disseminating regulatory developments to businesses they support, maintaining Compliance policies, managing complaints and regulatory filings, providing relevant training, carrying out independent monitoring and oversight activities, reporting on the status of Compliance to the Board and Senior Management, as needed, and providing objective guidance and effective challenge.

TD Bank Group has enhanced its Regulatory Compliance Management Framework (RCM) and is uplifting its existing programs to support a strong regulatory compliance risk culture and comprehensive approach to managing regulatory compliance risk. This position is a newly created role in the Global Initiatives team within TDS Global Compliance, to manage and facilitate the implementation of key deliverables that support delivery of the RCM program, in line with the Enterprise RCM Framework.

Job Description

The Project Delivery Manager is responsible for managing the book of work within TDS Compliance associated with RCM and related ad hoc project work, that ensures compliance with relevant laws, rules, and regulations (LRRs) within the organization. This role involves planning, executing, and managing the delivery of the RCM programme deliverables, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring timely delivery while adhering to Group standards. The Project Manager serves as a key point of contact for internal stakeholders, ensuring the organization’s policies and practices align with applicable internal RCM requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Undertake project planning and execution by developing and implementing project plans to support delivery of the TDS Global Compliance Regulatory Compliance Management (RCM) initiatives.

  • Set timelines, work with TDS CU RCM leads, establish project milestones, track progress, identify risks, and ensure timely delivery of RCM program milestones.

  • Act as a liaison between TDS CUs, the business and Central Compliance teams. Communicate project status, risks, and Compliance updates effectively to leadership and stakeholders and foster collaboration among cross-functional teams.

  • Identify, assess, and mitigate compliance-related risks within projects. Implement controls and safeguards to minimize regulatory exposure. Prepare and maintain documentation to demonstrate compliance during audits and Quality Assurance activities.

  • Maintain detailed project documentation, including requirements, schedules, and deliverables.

  • Provide regular reports on project performance and compliance metrics. Ensure audit trails and records are accurate and accessible.

  • Manage ad hoc related deliverables to support the Global Initiatives Lead, as required.

This role typically involves a hybrid work arrangement, requiring both in-office collaboration and remote work. Occasional travel may be necessary to meet with internal stakeholders in our global offices. This position will appeal to an individual who is comfortable working in an evolving environment, has excellent relationship management, analytical and communication skills, is prepared to take on new challenges, can deliver a high level of quality, and can work well with the broader team, within Compliance and outside of Compliance in different jurisdictions. The successful candidate will gain an invaluable global perspective of TDS and exposure to multiple stakeholders across Compliance, Business and Corporate Functions.

Job /Skills Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree or technical certificate with relevant experience in Financial Markets and

Banking and Project Management and Delivery.

  • Excellent project management skills, including scheduling, and strong analytical, process mapping and problem-solving skills. PMP, CAPM, or equivalent project management certification.

  • Microsoft office skills and proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel skills essential.

  • Familiarity with Merlin, TDBG's system of record for LRRs and regulatory compliance requirements (e.g., OSFI E-13) desirable.

  • An excellent communicator adept at relationship management and engaging multiple stakeholders across multiple jurisdictions.

  • Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail - ability to manage several deliverables across the spectrum of the regulatory compliance landscape and support developing BAU practices within the broader Global Initiatives team.

  • Has an exceptional ability to write and verbalise narratives (i.e., project updates) for different audiences at a functional, regional and global level including translating RCM programme requirements into actionable deliverables.

  • A proactive self-starter, willing to following up and has an enquiring mind to 'find out' how, why and when.
