Job Summary

The Compensation + Benefits Analyst Leader, EMEA will play a pivotal role in guiding the development and implementation of strategies to support critical compensation and pay initiatives to promote competitive in market Compensation + Benefits programmes to attract and retain strong talent within our diverse portfolio supporting our hotels and offices.

This position will guide and lead the development of local compensation reporting, tools and analytics to evaluate appropriate data, delivering insights to drive both strategic and operational decisions and deployment in all areas of compensation, such as salary structures and Pay Transparency,

This role will provide timely, accurate and comprehensive qualitative reporting, based on quantitative data to guide the EMEA and global leadership teams on multiple financial, legal and social demands in compensation and benefits.

This position is an integral part of the EMEA Human Resources team and will closely collaborate with the Global Compensation and Benefits teams, as well as HR Leaders and Partners, COEs, Continent Compensation + Benefits teams, Senior Leadership, and external partners to deliver effective compensation solutions.

Scope

The Compensation + Benefits Analyst, EMEA is responsible for all aspects of Compensation + Benefits data & analysis in EMEA.

  • Location: Preferably London / Frankfurt

  • Travel Requirements: Business travel is estimated at less than 20%

Key Responsibilities

Providing dedicated leadership, consulting, and information expertise to achieve the continent and global goals for critical compensation and pay initiatives, and supporting Pay Transparency:

Reporting

  • Designs reports, analysis and dashboards to assess real-time competitive pay positions.

  • Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of compensation data, adhering to data protection regulations and internal privacy policies.

  • Understands data sources and champions appropriate collection methods.

Compensation Analysis:

  • Conducts in-depth compensation analysis using external data to supplement local studies, assess market competitiveness, and alignment with industry standards.

  • Identifies trends, outliers, and potential areas for improvement, ensuring consistency and fairness in compensation structures.

  • Develops and presents analytical recommendations and actionable insights to disseminate findings and successful practices for the EMEA and Global Compensation and Benefits and HR teams, as appropriate.

  • Delivers findings to enable strong strategic and operational decisions.

  • Supports Global and Continent teams with data requests and required reporting and analysis.

Implementation of Processes:

  • Drives innovation to develop, refine, and implement new tools used by continent, area and hotel leaders.

  • Advocates for data-based decision making and delivers tools to help Continent and Global leaders understand insights to influence change.

  • Delivers results from analysis across the whole EMEA Human Resources team.

  • Tracks in depth evaluation of activities and processes to recommend strategic and tactical actions.

  • Provides oversight and support local reporting processes for country-specific pay equity reporting requirements.

  • Partners with stakeholders to guide the implementation and sustainment of solutions based on the data modelling.

Salary Benchmarking:

  • Enables Tools, Processes, Practices to benchmark continent compensation against industry competitors, geographic locations, and job markets. Analyses annual market movement.

  • Supports participation in annual surveys as appropriate.

  • Provides recommendations and guidance and global views on managing a competitive pay strategy in-line with corporate objectives.

Performance Management Integration:

  • Collaborates across disciplines and continents to align compensation programs with the performance management system, ensuring rewards are linked to individual and team achievements.

Communication and Training:

  • Serves as the subject matter expert in the design of training programs and communications focused on compensation and data management best practices for HR professionals, Managers, and Associates.

  • Works with the HR Technology team to drive data accuracy, analysis, reporting and strategy of compensation.

  • Collaborates on global programmes to align as appropriate job evaluations.

Stakeholder Management:

  • Collaborates with the wider EMEA HR leadership, and HR Technology teams to lead and drive compensation integrity and excellence,

  • Partners with Global HR and Compensation and Benefits leads including Analytics partners to recommend and deliver on global strategic priorities that can be locally sustained. Designs analysis and dashboards to assess real-time competitive pay positions.

  • Drives the effort to define compensation reporting and analytical roadmap for EMEA’s compensation efforts, defining guidelines for continent versus corporate responsibilities.

  • Communicates results to EMEA HR team stakeholders in a timely and resourceful manner to meet all deadlines.

Vendor Management:

  • Works with vendors to gather market data, achieving cost effective purchasing practices of data, and managing multiple sources 3rd party data.

  • Ensures feedback is implemented and enhanced based on continent and local needs.

Candidate Profile

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent with a University degree in data analytics preferred.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience demonstrating progressive career growth and a pattern of exceptional performance in analytics, preferably in hospitality commercial areas like marketing, digital, loyalty or revenue management.

  • Experience with design of complex data flows and systems in the analytics industry/domain required.

  • Proven success and experience within international organisation within a team with multiple priorities and stakeholders.

Skills & Knowledge

  • Proven track record of strong consulting skills, with experience leading a small team to successful outcomes.

  • Demonstrated ability to deliver results under difficult conditions, particularly when faced with complexity and ambiguity.

  • Technical Skills

  • Data formatting and Analysis

  • Data Visualization (Tableau, Power BI preferred)

  • Microsoft Excel (advanced skills required).

  • Adobe and Google Analytics preferred.

  • Demonstrated ability to conduct and engage in analytics with practical applications to business needs.

  • Demonstrates self-confidence, energy and enthusiasm.

  • Informs and/or updates Senior Leaders on relevant information.

  • Manages time effectively and conducts activities in an organised manner.

  • Presents ideas, expectations, and information in a concise, organised manner.

  • Uses problem solving methodology for decision making and follow up.
