Description

Amazon is seeking a seasoned, creative, and analytical communications professional with experience building high-performance, high-impact communications campaigns to join the International Economic and Community Impact PR team.

As a Community Impact PR Specialist you will be responsible for developing and executing end-to-end communications campaigns that support this key Amazon narrative, with a special focus on our disaster relief, education and skills training, and corporate giving programs.

You will work with our global community impact teams, and with our in-country PR teams, to design and execute campaigns that help key audiences learn about Amazon’s positive impact for local communities.

This position can be based in Spain, France, Italy, UK, Germany or Luxembourg.

Key job responsibilities

  • Design and help implement creative PR campaigns, including ideation, execution, and measurement.

  • Help coordinate communications for Amazon’s Disaster Relief Operations, when activated in EMEA and APAC.

  • Coordinate and produce community impact reports for EMEA and APAC countries.

  • Create content for owned channels and properties, and experiment with new ways to amplify it and reach key audiences, including policymakers.

  • Work with Public Policy teams to find effective ways to integrate PR work into their advocacy campaigns.

  • Manage complex, fast-moving and unexpected communications challenges with high judgment and professionalism.

  • Manage external public relations agency on strategy and day to day matters.

  • Track and measure impact of communications programs.

About the team

The International Economic and Community Impact (ECI) team is a dedicated subject-matter-expert team responsible for developing and owning our global narratives for economic and community impact, being the go-to comms leads for global business stakeholders in these matters, and serving as conduit to our in-country teams in EMEA, APAC, and LATAM supporting them with critical information, creative ideas and campaigns, and general guidance around this topic based on cross-country learnings.

Our primary goal is to drive a positive external narrative that ladders up to our umbrella theme: Amazon is a force for good in the communities where we invest.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, or a related field

  • Experience in professional communications or public relations

  • Excellent English writing and speaking skills
