Client Document Digitisation (CDD) is a team sitting within the Client Organisation in Citi. Its mission is to drive a holistic approach to client document management across Citi, to enable the delivery of scalable solutions , to unlock the value of stored data, to drive safety and soundness and to enhance the client experience.
Job Description
An exceptional Business Analyst is required to support the Client Document Digitisation programme in executing its mission. This position can be based in London or Belfast. The focus of the role will be to elicit and document detailed business requirements across the team’s various workstreams, utilising the most appropriate techniques as required. The individual will:
Be the lead BA within the CDD team, collecting and articulating the requirements across work efforts as required
Set the standards for business analysis within CDD and establish the most appropriate techniques to apply for a given work effort
Become an SME across the book of work; helping to guide delivery and staying informed of the technology & tooling options that could be employed to successfully deliver CDD projects
Be involved in the development of AI solutions (e.g. AI model training, data validation etc) linked to Client document initiatives.
Primary work efforts will include:
the definition of an enterprise-wide, holistic Client Document Management solution that would address the disparate needs of all users of client documentation within the bank
extraction of data from documentation utilising AI models or LLMs where appropriate
the definition of data modelling and extraction requirements across 300+ different types of KYC documentation
This individual will work closely with partners across the Business including, but not limited to Legal, Operations, Technology and various business lines within Citi to ensure the timely delivery of CDD programme goals. It is crucial that the candidate can communicate insights and recommendations in a clear and concise manner, and that they are self-motivated, proactive and outcomes-focused.
Responsibilities
The role’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Conducting an enterprise-wide requirements gathering exercise to create a comprehensive set of business requirements for client document management across the Bank. Such requirements will include, but are not limited to:
Storage requirements
Access requirements
Search requirements
Taxonomies and meta-data
Data requirements and use cases
Use of AI
Inter-operability with other Citi data repositories
Identifying and defining document data use cases across a broad population of interested stakeholders, spanning in-business functions and cross-product groups, across a range of seniority levels
Leading the requirements gathering for KYC documentation centralisation focusing on data requirements, modelling and opportunities to re-use documents for subsequent client requests
Supporting the creation of associated business cases in preparation for the implementation of solutions to deliver on such requirements.
Mapping ‘as-is’ and ‘to-be’ business states for document solutions and storage, identifying opportunities for improvement, analysing impacts of change, and summarising options & recommendations.
Ensuring CDD operates in alignment with broader teams and programmes delivering work related to document digitisation and maintaining visibility of such activity.
Acting as champion and advocate to drive adoption of digital document capabilities, including proactive communication of the CDD roadmap, principles, and vision.
Facilitating working group meetings and workshops with stakeholders including preparing meeting materials and documenting meeting minutes.
Developing and maintaining subject matter expertise around records management, document data and process digitisation
Skills:
Demonstrable track record as a business analyst including gathering requirements across large stakeholder populations and producing high quality business requirement documents
Expertise in various methodologies for documenting requirements including both a traditional prose-based approach and the use of Agile techniques such as user stories
Expertise in data model i.e. can interpret/create UML and OCL diagrams, incl, conceptual and logical models, can read JSON schemas and familiar with MagicDraw as an authoring tool
Can act as the conduit between technology and businesses; translating, elaborating and simplifying where necessary
Expertise in ensuring full end-to-end traceability of requirements
Ability to work independently and efficiently under tight timeframes, has attention to detail and can juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to drive consensus and influence relationships at all levels.
Excellent presentation skills with the ability to articulate complex concepts in a clear and concise manner
Business analyst skills including process design, analytical/problem solving capability, requirements gathering and analysis and workflow mapping.
Excellent planning and task management skills; capable of seeing the bigger picture as well as strong focus on day-to-day execution
Familiarity with as many of the following subject areas:
Financial Services / Investment Banking
Documentation and documentation management
Digitisation and digitisation tooling
The latest AI technologies and tools (including GenAI) for data extraction and management. Programming languages (e.g. Python, Javascript) to help guide future LLM based solutions
Qualifications/Experience:
Previous experience as a business analyst within a complex organisation – preferably within a Financial Services, Legal or technology firm.
Experience in change programmes within a large, global organisation – preferably within a Financial Services, Legal or technology firm
Proven experience engaging and communicating with senior stakeholders.
