Cisco Meraki is looking for a Business Operations Manager in London to lead and support a cross-functional team based in Lisbon. As the fastest growing cloud-managed networking team in the world, our products and technology architecture are changing the face of enterprise networking and making cloud-managed IT a reality. As our new Manager of Business and Channel Operations, you will be responsible for overseeing strategic planning, process improvement, and project management initiatives in your direct team and for the global organization. You will carefully examine operational data to inform decision-making, work closely with teams from different departments, and make sure everything is in line with our organisation’s goals. In addition, you will effectively handle talent performance, cross-functional stakeholder engagement, and address risks to enhance operational efficiency and achieve business success. You enjoy innovative and data driven decision making, collaborating with cross-functional teams, building relationships, proactive and intentional work, learning something new every day, and solving complex problems to make an impact in a fast-growing organisation!

Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Planning: crafting and implementing strategic plans that are in line with Cisco Systems' overarching goals and objectives. This involves identifying important priorities, defining strategic initiatives, and establishing metrics to measure progress and success.

  • Process Optimisation: Identifying inefficiencies or areas for improvement, and implementing changes to optimize workflow, increase productivity, and enhance operational efficiency.

  • Team Leadership and Development: Offer guidance, mentorship, and support to team members, cultivating a culture of collaboration and innovation, and empowering individuals to achieve their maximum potential.

  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement within the organisation by fostering innovation. It is important to constantly explore new ideas, technologies, and methodologies in order to improve processes, products, and services.

  • Apply data-driven insights to make informed decisions and strategically plan for success. Extract valuable insights, and transform findings into practical strategies and initiatives.

  • Stakeholder Engagement and Communication: effectively communicate organisational goals, progress, and challenges, actively seek feedback, and cultivate strong relationships to promote alignment and garner support.

  • Change Management: Leading change initiatives, effectively communicating changes, addressing concerns, and ensuring smooth transitions.

  • Project Management: Defining project scope, objectives, timelines, and deliverables, coordinating resources, and monitoring progress to ensure successful execution and delivery.

  • Effective Risk Management and Compliance: Recognize and address operational risks, adhere to regulatory requirements, and establish suitable controls

  • Performance Measurement and Reporting: Develop performance metrics, monitor key performance indicators and generate reports to effectively track progress, evaluate outcomes, and make informed decisions based on data.

Qualifications:

  • 5 - 7 years of experience in Channel Operations, business operations or project/program management

  • Excellent communication, organization, presentation, and analytical skills

  • Proficient on Excel, Power Point, data storytelling and process design

  • 5 - 7 years experience working with cross functional teams in a fast-paced environment

  • High degree of leadership, motivation, autonomy in work, and organizational skills required

  • Ability to deliver on multiple and competing projects

  • Confirmed analytical skills with an emphasis on execution

  • Upbeat, personable, and comfortable working with just about anybody

  • Knowledge of Cisco’s business model, processes and operations is a plus
