An exciting opportunity opened up to join join our market leading organisation as a Bespoke Consultant.

To work as part of a matrix Essilor sales team on a defined customer segment or segments, to attain product category volume and revenue growth objectives.

Responsible for the co-development and implementation of the Bespoke programme objectives and the Essilor Expert Customer Partnership Programme.

To directly select, target and work with customers to deliver value through training in two key areas:

  1. Essilor product features and benefits to include Varilux, Transitions and personalised lenses and associated enabling instruments / technologies

  2. Customer best practice training, allowing our customer to excel in all areas of practice management and product dispensing.

Areas of Responsibilties

● Use consultative selling and training to support customer’s goals and help them set objectives for a defined customer segment.

● Proactively communicates with all Essilor Business Development Managers, other Bespoke Consultants and Transitions Consultants on the identified Bespoke objectives but also general Essilor business objectives (Lens volume and value growth, with the advancement of our personalised lens market share).

● Totally understand and embrace digital measuring and personalisation of lenses, the whole patient experience and the reduction in Lens non-tolerance levels.

● Complete analysis for each customer on the impact of goal attainment on Bespoke profitability and other Essilor revenue KPI’s with real emphasis on Varilux, Transitions and personalised lens sales.

● Provide world class customer service as a business consultant to selected customers.

● Proactively coordinate and manage an appointment schedule.

● Works in a coordinated and open way with the Essilor Instruments team to maximise the use of practice technology and equipment. Always taking a lead with post installation practice staff training.

● Deliver effective demos or training on site at customer locations, adapting training where needed to meet the needs of the audience

●Deliver effective virtual training and learning where appropriate

● Monitor, support & communicate progress with trained accounts, proving follow up support where needed, logging results and required next steps on salesforce.com

● Support and participate with the development of training programmes through regular feedback to the Regional Sales Manager

● Work with the broader commercial team and customers to grow personalised and premium lens sales in the UK market

● Provide ad hoc support to internal departments to answer technical queries

● Support excellent communication across internal sales, marketing & Instruments team

● Presence at trade shows at events where required

● Ensure all records are kept up to date with accurate and timely information

● Provide in field training support for new product launches or focused training initiatives as required

● To at all times act as an ambassador of Essilor and its values.

Technical Skills

● Proven track record of delivering effective training and ability to confidently deliver presentations to large audiences

● Working on own initiative to tight deadlines

● Computer Literate

● Ability to communicate effectively at all levels both verbally and in writing

● Previous experience of training in group and individual environments

● Excellent presentation skills, ideally with experience of delivering presentations to groups

● Ability to effectively analyse and interpret data

● Excellent time management and organisational skills

● Experience of successful sales account management in related field

● Knowledge of lens manufacturing processes, Company products and a good understanding of the UK optical market

● Managing Your Accounts: Knows what drives each individual account. Understands the financials in the account and business drivers. Knows the decision makers in the practice and role responsibilities.

● Building Your Business: Understands optic principals and how their products address them. Has a strong grasp of the market and how it impacts the business. Uses a CRM system to prospect, forecast, analyze, manage and grow territory.

● Building Your Network: Leverages internal clientele to build a network around products and services. Understands where to go when a need arises and works with network of Eye Care professionals to leverage business and personal growth.
