AVP - Credit Data Solutions - 12 month Fixed Term Contract

OVERVIEW OF THE DEPARTMENT/SECTION

The Information and Data Management (IDM) department is responsible for data management and MI production across all international subsidiaries of MUSHD and EMEA region for MUFG Bank. The mandate for the department is to:

• Develop a business led, technology enabled data strategy and roadmap for delivery of data management target state

• Develop a data governance framework and establish data related policies and procedures to improve the value of data as an enterprise asset

• Source, validate and maintain master data repositories of market and reference data

• Agree data quality standards with business owners and track metrics and continuously improve data processes

• Investigate and analyse data issues, identify the root cause and recommend control improvements

• Develop and support an MI platform optimised for the aggregation of data and the reporting of processed and analysed information

• Deliver accurate, timely and insightful MI to the international business to support executive decision making and to meet statutory and regulatory reporting requirements.

The team operates internationally with staff currently based in London, New York and Hong Kong.

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

Key Responsibilities

Specifically, you will be responsible for enabling sound and smooth execution of credit sanctioning process by providing guidance and support to business users of MUFG Bank Head Office credit systems, including:

  • Provide front-line support to Head Office credit systems’ users in the region

  • Provide guidance and assistance to users of Head Office credit systems: Global ZEUS, G-CARS

  • Carry out duties as a London Data Officer.Where required, provide support in delivering HO Monthly DQ Monitoring report.

  • Deliver high-quality data solutions in collaboration with key stakeholders to assist the business in achieving its goals.

  • Proactive participation in data management activities.

  • Supporting a business led, technology enabled data strategy and roadmap for delivery of data management target state.

  • Agree data quality standards with business owners and track metrics and continuously improve data processes.

  • Investigate and analyse data issues, identify the root cause and recommend control improvements.

  • Develop and support an MI platform optimised for the aggregation of data and the reporting of processed and analysed information.

  • Act as the regional rep for Bank HO credit systems and provide guidance and support to business users, to enable sound and smooth execution of credit sanctioning process.

Technical Capabilities

• Japanese Language (essential)

• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office software, e.g. Excel etc. (essential)

• Knowledge of Credit Risk and underlying data requirements (essential)

• Business Intelligence software, e.g. Tableau / Business Objects (beneficial)

Please note MUFG have a hyrbid working policy with 3 days in the office.
