About the Job:

An opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Reservations Manager to join us Jumeirah Carlton Tower. The main duties and responsibilities of this role are:

  • Supervise and manage the Reservations team, providing guidance, support, and training as necessary.

  • Conduct regular training sessions to ensure the team is knowledgeable and up-to-date on hotel policies, procedures, and systems.

  • Monitor team performance and provide feedback to ensure continuous improvement and development.

  • Schedule and coordinate team shifts to always ensure adequate coverage.

  • Assist in the recruitment and onboarding of new team members.

  • Process telephone and email reservations according to room and rate availability, ensuring that full and accurate details are obtained and input accordingly into Opera.

  • Ensure smooth and concise communication between Reservations and all other Hotel Departments.

  • Liaise with Sales and other departments when dealing with VIP guests, sales leads, and rate requests.

  • Enter all Reservations as per the required and determined Jumeirah Standards.

  • Ensure a high degree of personal skills, accuracy, attention to detail, and a positive attitude.

About you:

The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a supervisory or management role is preferred.

  • Excellent level of English.

  • Competent computer skills, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

  • Exceptional knowledge of Opera.

  • Excellent communicator at all levels.

  • Natural flair for identifying and offering Service Beyond Expectations.
