West Virginia Employer Head Start Substitute Assistant Teacher in Logan, West Virginia
Responsibilities involve providing an environment conducive to learning and appropriate to the development level of children. Involves children in all phases of self-care (dressing, lunch time, toileting, etc.); Serves as a behavior model. Establish positive relationship with parents. Writes daily lesson plans, Assess child's development. Supervise assistant teacher and ride on transportation vehicles with driver when necessary. Requirements: An Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or equivalent coursework is required, Bachelors Degree preferred. An Apprenticeship for Child Development Specialist (ACDS) is an asset. Candidate must be willing to submit to a physical exam, TB test, drug screen, criminal background check, DHHR Protective Service check, and DMV check. 20 hours per week from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM Monday through Friday. Benefits include health insurance, paid time off, holiday pay. Must have received or be willing to receive COVID-19 vaccination date of hire. Proof of vaccination is required.
