Overview Social media specialist needed to create, adapt, schedule, and post content related to relationships, marriage, parenting, personal well-being for USU Extension social media accounts (e.g. DrDaveUSU, DrDaveSchramm) including Facebook and Instagram.

This position is telework eligible within the state of Utah.

Responsibilities Hours are flexible and work can be done remotely. Occasional on-campus meetings with faculty and team members as needed. Review research and materials created by Dave Schramm and other family scholars and create social media content as a way to education and motivate people to live better lives and become better parents and partners.

Qualifications Minimum Qualifications:

  • Previous experience is required
  • Background, familiarity, and experience in Human Development and Family Studies research is also required
  • Ability to read and synthesize research related to happiness, parenting, and couple relationships Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Canva or similar creative content websites Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Creativity needed to create social media posts that are engaging

ADA Employees work indoors and are protected from weather and/or contaminants, but not, necessarily, occasional temperature changes. The employee is regularly required to sit and often uses repetitive hand motions. This position requires moderate physical effort.
