Overview The Program Coordinator II oversees educational events and activities for STARS! GEAR UP in collaboration with schools and educational partners. The Program Coordinator II plans and executes the day-to-day fiscal, administrative, and operational activities and is the main contact point for university, educational, and school partners. The Program Coordinator will also support performance benchmarks, project objectives, progress reports, and program oversight and evaluation. This position is contingent upon annual funding from a federal sponsor.
Responsibilities
- Designs and coordinates the day-to-day aspects of educational activities and events and monitors the progress and status of program outcomes.
- Trains and support school site coordinators, and service-wide providers in strategic planning for the sustainability of the Utah State University GEAR UP Project.
- Support ongoing evaluation, planning and vision for meeting the educational needs of students.
- Maintain ongoing communication with school partners to inform them of the project progress and budget expenditures.
- Serves as the principal liaison between school personnel, staff, other departments, and/or external constituencies on day-to-day project, operational, and/or administrative issues.
- Assist schools with documentation of their cost share; budgets and participate in the planning of events that support the mission of GEAR UP.
- Facilitates meetings, and special projects.
- Ensures completion of clerical and administrative support tasks, including creation and editing of program correspondence, program handbooks, and other publications.
- Provides updates and information to program stakeholders.
- Supports data collection; including preparing schedules; maintains program records and other information to meet state and federal requirements.
- May present on topics related to programs in person or via webinar.
- Analyzes problems and applies corrective action as needed.
- Ensures that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Participates in the development of funding proposals for the program.
- Contributes to business and operational decisions that affect the program.
- Some travel required.
- Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field plus a minimum of two years of relevant work experience; or a master's degree in a related field; or equivalent education plus experience is required.
Experience in developing, coordinating, and executing educational events and activities. Preferred Qualifications
