Overview
Edith Bowen Laboratory School is looking for School substitutes. This position is an as needed basis during the 2024-2025 public school year. This person serves as a substitute for teachers or classroom aides that are absent. Jobs are typically assigned as either a half-day (4 hours) or full-day (7.5 hours). Compensation will be paid on a daily rate based on qualifications.
Compensation is: Full Day/licensed/$100.00 per day-Half Day/licensed/$50.00 per day
Full Day/non licensed/$85.00 per day, Half Day/non licensed/42.50 per day
Job offer contingent upon the successful completion of a background check.
Responsibilities
Provide supervision for a classroom or other groups of students as assigned.
Ensure the safety of students and other employees.
Communicate clearly with other employees and share a detailed report with the employee for whom they have substituted.
Assist students in continued learning in the absence of their normal teacher or aide.
Follow lesson plans as provided.
Abide by all health and safety protocols at Edith Bowen Laboratory School and Utah State University.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in relevant field
Utah teaching license
