TITLE:Building Materials Associate
LOCATION:Logan, UT
FUNCTION:The Building Materials Associate provides effective administrative support to the site location, serves as first contact with vendors and customers, and offers design consultation to existing clientele.
KEY ACTIVITIES:
Visualize, fulfil, and implement the company vision and core values;
Manage incoming calls and information requests in a professional, efficient, and effective manner;
Assist in the management of operational and sales activities;
Greet and assess customer needs in order to direct customer traffic appropriately;
Engage customers, vendors and business associates in a friendly and professional manner, providing input, direction, and support;
Efficiently process basic customer orders/quotes and other transactions;
Assist customers in problem resolution;
Develop a clear understanding of customer needs and provide relevant design and project support;
Perform miscellaneous office and building management tasks;
Review, understand, and adhere to SunPro policies and procedures;
Perform all duties in compliance with SunPro safety requirements;
Adding Special order items/tallies for Estimating Team in Bistrack;
Work with purchasing on shipping larger orders and/or placing large orders special items;
Reprice existing quotes to reflect current market prices;
Cross train with Estimating Department;
Other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
Excellent communication skills (both written and oral) as well as strong interpersonal and relationship building skills;
Able to accurately assess customer project and design needs and provide proactive solutions;
Strong computer proficiency with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office products;
Highly organized and detail oriented;
High level of professionalism and personal responsibility.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED);
Degree or background relevant to interior design/construction or a related field;
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Sedentary work, requiring lifting up to 10lbs;
Repetitive motion associated with operating a computer and other office equipment;
Occasional exposure to outside elements.
