About the role:
Barry Callebaut Digital (BC Digital) is on a mission to lead the digital revolution in the chocolate industry, and we're looking for a Senior Business Analyst in the field of Planning and Scheduling, assessing stakeholder requirements for digital solutions. Reporting to the Head of Digital Planning and Scheduling, you will support the creation of digital-enabled Planning and Scheduling through innovative IT solutions. You will be the point of contact for the solution architecture and design of IT solutions for Planning and Scheduling processes, while closely collaborating with business needs and objectives. In addition, you will advise and support internal customers in formulating and concretizing their requirements and the creation of respective digital solutions.
Key responsibilities:
Analysis & Optimization: Lead analysis and improvement initiatives for digital planning and scheduling, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Engage with business stakeholders and solution architects to align needs, identify requirements, and ensure compliance for digital solutions. Conduct interviews, workshops, and surveys to inform development.
Documentation & Requirements: Develop user stories, use cases, functional specifications, and feasibility studies to evaluate new systems or enhancements.
Solution Design: Collaborate with digital and development teams to design, specify, and implement solutions aligned with business needs, creating technical specifications for downstream implementation.
Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to optimize business processes, providing actionable recommendations to enhance efficiency.
Application Management: Work closely with the application management team to ensure smooth implementation, operation, and maintenance of applications.
About you:
Technical Expertise: Advanced knowledge in IT solution design, planning, scheduling processes, feasibility studies, and user acceptance testing.
System Proficiency: Experience with supply chain planning systems (e.g., OMP), and strong proficiency with business analysis tools and techniques (e.g., SWOT, BPMN, UML).
Project Methodologies: Familiarity with waterfall and agile methodologies, and project management tools like JIRA.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years in relevant roles, with a strong background in digital or business analysis, solution design, and process optimization.
Analytical & Problem Solving: Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data, draw insights, and independently drive task completion.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication, capable of presenting complex topics to diverse audiences, both technical and non-technical.
Innovation & Passion for Digital: A forward-thinking individual passionate about digital technology, continually seeking creative solutions to enhance processes and decision-making.
Collaborative: Strong team player, skilled in building relationships across globally distributed teams, and committed to supporting team success.
Effective Communicator: Clear communicator who can simplify complex topics for diverse stakeholders and engage teams toward a shared goal.
