POSITION:Special Education Teacher, Substitute
LOCATION:Starpoint Middle School
DESCRIPTION:This teacher will work as part of a 6th grade academic team to provide support to students with disabilities.
The successful candidate will have:
Knowledge and background related to NYS learning standards
Experience with differentiating instruction for students with diverse academic challenges
The ability to meet students' social-emotional and academic needs
Evidence of strong communication and interpersonal skills
Desire to work collaboratively as part of an academic team
QUALIFICATIONS:NYS Certification - Students with Disabilities
COMPENSATION:$155/day (days 1-30), then step 1 daily rate per Starpoint Teachers' Association agreement (days 31+)
