In this position...

Perform as a Design & Release Product Development Engineer for Transmission & Axle Components on new and current model programs.

What you'll do…

  • Lead development of new applications of Axle Structural Components including carriers, covers, tubes, flanges, hubs, shafts and baffles

  • Verify sizing and duty cycle usage for new programs

  • Responsible for supporting program deliverables

  • Lead development of new applications of existing ICE & MHT transmission components including one way clutch assemblies, hubs and shells

  • Verify sizing, capability and upgrade requirements

  • Responsible for supporting program deliverables

  • Identify and resolve warranty issues and develop TVM actions for:

  • MHT Transmissions

  • Hybrid Transmissions

  • Conventional Automatic Transmissions

  • Axle Structural Components

  • BS in Electrical, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent engineering degree

  • Proven track record of delivering complex projects

  • Self-Starter capable of establishing processes and delivering results

  • Team player able to work well across functions

  • Strong oral and written communications skills, with ability to present to higher levels of management

  • Ability/willingness to learn about new technology

  • Solid knowledge of GPDS and program management process, including key delivery dates along with the ability to develop plans for global markets
