Job Summary:

The Radiology Coordinator plays a pivotal role in ensuring seamless administrative and operational support within the Radiology department. This position requires advanced organizational skills, the ability to oversee complex workflows, and the aptitude to drive operational excellence. The Coordinator serves as the primary liaison between clinical staff, management, and external stakeholders, ensuring accurate billing, efficient scheduling, and compliance with departmental standards. Key responsibilities include payroll management, data analytics, staff training, and departmental operations, with a strong emphasis on optimizing the patient experience and supporting radiology professionals.

Job Requirements:

Required:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent

  • Minimum of 2 years in an administrative or coordinator role within a healthcare or radiology setting

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with diverse teams and stakeholders.

Preferred:

  • Bachelor s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience

  • Proficiency in payroll systems (e.g., ADP), billing platforms, and scheduling software

  • Strong analytical skills with experience in data reporting and workflow optimization

  • Familiarity with medical imaging software and electronic health records (EHR) systems

  • Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements in radiology

Scheduling Requirements:

  • Working Shift: Monday-Friday

  • Day Shift, 8:00AM-4:00PM (Hours may change based on business needs)

  • Full-Time, 37.5 Hours Per Week

Essential Functions:

Payroll & Workforce Management

  • Accurately input, verify, and adjust employee hours, accrued time, and on-call calculations in the payroll system

  • Maintain payroll records, including corrections, cost-center assignments, and compliance with organizational policies

  • Provide attendance and trend analysis reports to management, identifying areas for improvement

Billing & Revenue Cycle Support

  • Oversee and reconcile billing workflows, addressing charge errors and unposted logs to ensure timely revenue generation

  • Collaborate with ancillary departments to correct surgical logs and update supply entries

  • Monitor work queues for billing discrepancies, resolving issues to improve overall departmental efficiency

Operational Oversight

  • Manage the scheduling of radiology rooms and ensure adherence to operational standards for patient readiness and room availability

  • Provide guidance and support for film library operations, ensuring the secure and efficient handling of radiology records

  • Facilitate addendum requests, STAT readings, and physician consultations in a timely and professional manner

  • Provide coverage for clerical staff and the film library during high-volume periods and assist with managing staff time-off requests

Training & Development

  • Deliver comprehensive training programs for clerical and film library staff to enhance scheduling, billing, and patient service skills

  • Provide ongoing education to ensure team adherence to updated protocols and compliance requirements

Data Analytics & Process Improvement

  • Analyze workflow and billing trends, recommending data-driven strategies to improve departmental efficiency

  • Monitor and evaluate operational processes to ensure alignment with organizational goals and best practices
