Position: Government Administrative Associate
Overview: Since 1977, Echelon Supply and Service has been a leading supplier of hoses and hose assemblies for commercial and military applications throughout the world. Echelon Supply and Service is currently seeking an experienced Administrative Associate to join our team.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Follow up to ensure that all materials are at an appropriately negotiated price and at approved quality standards in compliance with associated contract requirements
Responsible for the accuracy and managing of all order entry
Assists the Contract & Buy / Sell Sales team and Contract Administrators with tracking of orders, confirmation of shipping notices and other applicable documents to ensure appropriate records retention and scheduled on time delivery
Assists with invoice discrepancies, including research, troubleshooting, communication with appropriate parties and resolution to closure
Vendor updates including general and pricing maintenance, checking and maintaining inventory levels and understanding of purchase history
Interacts with contract administrators and other internal departments to provide administrative support and ensure accuracy of paperwork
Filing all necessary documents within the sales department in a timely manner
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related field preferred. Equivalent work experience will be considered
Understanding of supply chain basic principles including purchasing, inventory, and logistics
Adept at communicating with vendors and internal business partners to establish and maintain credibility, both verbally and in writing
Ability to analyze, trouble shoot, and problem solve using research, analysis, logic, and lateral thinking
Computer skills should include proficiency in MS Office, and the ability to learn new systems with ease
