Robert Half Sr Accountant in Livermore, California

Description

One of our clients in the Livermore area is looking for a Sr Accountant for a 4-month contract opportunity.

Responsibilities:

  • Preparing financial statements and reporting.

  • Reviewing and understanding ledgers.

  • Perform tax planning and compliance.

  • Preparing budgets and forecasting trends.

  • Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual closings.

  • Conducting detailed risk analyses.

  • Assisting with internal and external audits.

  • Working with the accounting team to improve financial processes.

  • Remaining updated on industry changes and updates.

    Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant degree.

  • CPA or other relevant certification is preferred.

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role.

  • Solid understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

  • Excellent computer skills on MS Office, accounting software, and databases.

  • Ability to handle large amounts of data.

  • Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations.

  • High attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Ability to direct and supervise.
