Job Description
As a Human Resources Administrator, you will partner with management to execute the organization's human resources and talent strategy, focusing on talent needs, hourly staffing, employee engagement, retention, and onboarding. You will manage the entire onboarding process for new hires and maintain the new employee tracker from the application stage to the 90-day review. Additionally, you will review and audit employee timecards weekly and assist with preparing bi-weekly payroll for submission. You will also provide support and guidance to management and staff on HR policies and processes, maintain accurate HR files, and ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations.
Responsibilities
Partner with management to understand and execute the organization's human resources and talent strategy.
Manage the entire onboarding process for all new hires and maintain the new employee tracker from application stage to 90-day review.
Review and audit employee timecards on a weekly basis.
Assist with preparing bi-weekly payroll for submission.
Provide support and guidance to management and staff on HR policy and process-related questions.
Oversee employee disciplinary meetings and terminations in accordance with company policies.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date HR files, records, and documentation including employee personnel files, driver DQ files, terminations, employee processing forms, and coaching notices.
Manage the local talent acquisition process, including sourcing, interviewing, and hiring qualified job applicants, particularly for warehouse selectors and drivers.
Collaborate with departmental managers to understand the skills and competencies required for openings and ensure proper onboarding.
Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices.
Essential Skills
2+ years of experience in human resources or a degree in human resources.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel.
Strong interpersonal skills and professionalism.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Exposure to HR policies and practices through a past job or internship.
Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus.
Work Environment
This position is fully onsite with working hours from 7:30 am to 4:00 pm, with flexibility for an early start at 7:00 am or a late start at 8:00 am. The workday is 8 hours with a 30-minute unpaid lunch. You may be asked to start at 7:00 am every other Monday to assist with payroll.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $24.00
