The role:

As part of the Finance team, the Assistant Accountant assists with the settlements process of concerts and tours across both Australia and New Zealand. You will work closely with the Tour Directors and Promoters ensuring all financial information relating to a tour has been accurately provided to you for further processing.

This is a fixed-term position until end of April 2025, with opportunity for extension.

Key responsibilities:

  • Ensure accurate GL coding and cash receipting of venue settlements

  • Ensure invoice Operational approvals compliant with approval limits before approving in invoice workflow platform

  • Ensure all event related invoices saved in tour folders

  • Load tour related journals to Oracle

  • Prepare end of tour audit checklists to ensure all key tour documentation is held on file for audit purposes

  • Preparation of APRA/PPCA submissions for Tour Director Sign-off

  • Liaise with bank to arrange Cash floats requested by Tour Directors

  • Actively reviewing settlement process to identify efficiencies/improvements

  • Adhoc duties as required

About you/requirements

  • An excellent communicator and team player

  • Strong time management skills

  • Ability to work to deadlines whilst maintaining quality output on a high volume of work

  • You’re a strong problem solver with an eye for detail

  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel and Outlook

  • Previous experience in an accounting function
