Job Description

The Physician Informatics Manager is a dynamic role requiring a versatile professional capable of managing the ever-changing landscape of healthcare informatics across multiple campuses. This position is responsible for five locations. The role demands a hands-on approach, with five days a week spent on-site, engaging directly with medical staff, physicians, office personnel, and the executive suite. A typical day involves traveling between campuses--four of which are in proximity, with one approximately an hour's drive away--to meet with team members, manage reports, and review various items. The manager will have direct 1:1 interaction with an eight-member regional team, ensuring alignment with the Chief Medical Officer (CMO), Chief Information Officer (CIO), technical teams, and the nursing informatics team, fostering a collaborative environment. Key responsibilities include overseeing the delivery of projects, maintaining Service Level Agreements, and ensuring that the team adheres to the metrics set by corporate. The manager will not conduct classroom training but will attend sessions to provide feedback for advocates. They will also be involved in pulling reports and statistics, presenting these findings, and participating in project meetings, particularly during significant system upgrades.

Skills and Requirements

3+ years of informatics experience

3+ years of leadership in informatics and experience within change management

Strong written and oral communication

Executive presence

Clinical background (RN, APRN, RT, CRNA, etc.)

Epic knowledge Service Now ticketing experience null
