ASRC Federal is seeking an Aeroshell Materials SME supporting ORION in Denver, CO/Houston, TX

ASRC Federal System Solutions (ASFF) brings a 14-year history of delivering high-performance space systems engineering, integration and satellite operations services to civil and defense agencies. ASFF provides these services throughout all phases of the program life cycle and across the entire space systems architecture, including space and ground assets.

Specific Job Duties :

• Experience working with ablative thermal protection materials

• Understand material properties of ablators.

• Experience with Avcoat but there are other ablative materials like PICA is acceptable

• Experience with NDE techniques is also important

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related discipline or equivalent experience/combined education and 5-7 years of experience.

• Must be a U.S. citizen

Required Skills:

• Experience with Avcoat or other ablative materials

• Experience with NDE evaluation techniques and capabilities

• Experience with material allowable test planning and execution

Desired Skills:

• Experience with probability of detection test plan development and execution

• Experience with NASA programs

• Hands on experience with use of bonding materials, processes and techniques
