Department Summary

The Director, Wireless Product Innovation will build and oversee a small team of innovation experts beginning with Innovation Analysts to help document strategies, build decks and business models, and collaborate with the Finance teams, and Technology Analysts who are engineers that can think through potential pitfalls and scope high-level work for various partners to bring ideas to reality.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Identify consumer problems/needs and build and document solutions to resolve them, requiring forward thinking.

  • Experience following through to market, but also creative and can think outside the box on what is possible in Wireless Telecommunications.

  • Utilize industry connections, tech conferences, and incubators for new innovations in technology and telecom with an eye towards leveraging our network and driving differentiated consumer experiences.

  • Drive partner conversations, vet opportunities, lead cross-functional vetting, and build high-level business cases.

  • Wireframe enough of the product opportunity to sell into the organization for further development and hand-off.

  • Build a funnel of product ideas and consumer solutions that differentiate Echostar and Boost Mobile services as a product leader in the U.S. telecom space.

  • Develop clear consumer value propositions surrounding innovative products and ideas.

Skills, Experience and Requirements

  • Leading small teams of creative technologists.

  • Ideating, but also bringing a product through a development cycle to market.

  • Building strong relationships cross-functionally.

  • 10-15 years of experience in technology, telecom, and/or consumer electronics.

  • Experience in small companies and startups is a plus.

Salary Ranges

Compensation: $185,000.00/Year - $225,000.00/Year

The base pay range shown is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, and competencies; compensation is based on the role's location and is subject to change based on work location.
