This job was posted by https://www.arjoblink.arkansas.gov : For more information, please see: https://www.arjoblink.arkansas.gov/jobs/4376394 The Emergency Response Consultant is responsible for supporting the Toxicology Emergency Response Program (TERP), Environmental Response Program and other CTEH Programs during an emergency response or traditional environmental remediation projects. This role will work closely with clients, regulators and CTEH personnel to develop unique solutions, and must have a large skill set ranging from project management, planning, safety, industrial hygiene and experience addressing a wide range of environmental issues, including those related to soil, water and waste characterization sampling, environmental remediation and strong verbal and written communication skills.
The Emergency Response Consultant may assume key roles in the field and/or command post, including Technical Specialist, Field Coordinator/Field Lead roles or Assistant Safety Officer. They will provide technical advice and documentation to the client and coordinate with field personnel, Data Managers, and the Quality Department to ensure quality environmental data and reporting. They will provide onsite coaching and training to field personnel to ensure necessary tasks are conducted competently and to a high degree of quality. They will work closely in the development and maintenance of CTEH\'s Environmental Response Program and with CTEH ER leadership to ensure emergency response and environmental response preparedness. They will support client preparedness through training and participation in exercises and drills, as needed, as well as coordinate with the Sales team to grow CTEH\'s environmental services.
This role is also subject to on-call rotation for emergency response, as required during high volume response periods and is subject to frequent, extended travel. The on-call rotation duties may extend to satellite offices, as necessary. Travel on a moment\'s notice may extend further than just the on-call rotation (i.e. in the event a response requires more CTEH staffing support). The Emergency Response Consultant will report to the Director of Response Consultants.

ACTIVITIES/TASKS/SCOPE
- Support TERP, Environmental Response Program and other CTEH Programs on emergency response and traditional environmental remediation projects, as required to achieve project goals.
- Able to serve as the primary on-call project manager and respond as such to multiple projects across all service lines.
- Promote CTEH\'s safety culture and maintain a high level of safety awareness.
- Serve as the primary CTEH representative to on-site client and agency representatives.
- May assume key environmental or safety roles during responses and exercises, coordinating closely with client and agency personnel.
- Review and interpret collected scientific data (i.e. air, soil, water Laboratory results to standards/screening levels).
- Strong written communication skills for the preparation of client and regulatory agency report submittals.
- Coordinates with TERP, Data Managers, and Quality Dept. to ensure data deliverables are timely and of high quality.
- Assists in the development and implementation of CTEH\'s Environmental Response Program.
- Remain up to date with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the environmental, industrial hygiene, and project management fields.
- Supports internal preparedness or environmental responses, including the provision of environmental response training, identification of equipment needs, and development of document templates.
- Provides training and other technical consulting to clients relative to his/her expertise.
- Supports all levels of mergency Response Department to include but not limited to, TERP, Environmental Response and Response Management Programs to ensure all levels of Emergency Response are staffed, trained and response ready.
- Must be able to interpret large data sets to achieve regulatory cleanup goals.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & CREDENTIALS
- Bachelor of Science or Master\'s degree in Environmental Engineering or Science, Biology, Health and Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Emergency Management or equivalent, plus 5+ years of related field experience
- Advanced computer skills in a Windows-based platform
- Significant project management experience, preferably in emergency response
- Specialized credentials: CHMM, REM, ASP, CSP, CIH, PMP, PG, PE (preferred)
- Must have an OSHA 40 Hour HAZWOPER certification and current 8 hour annual certification (required)
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES
Ability to obtain DISA clearance
Ability to obtain TWIC clearance
Current driver\'s license (required)
Ability to obtain a passport
Completion of all job specific training, client training and OSHA training requirements
