Responsibilities
Performs all diagnostic cardiovascular ultrasound testing including M-Mode, two dimensional, color flow mapping, cardiac doppler, echo stress testing, transesophageal echo, stress testing, EKG, and Holter application.
Prepares patient for ultrasound procedures
Recognizes and promptly reports significant findings to physicians.
Maintains echo equipment
Maintains accurate log of echo procedures performed
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum of two years college with emphasis in medical sciences and mathematics. Meets minimum qualifications for eligibility for registration as an Echocardiographic Technician. Verifiable completion of 18 contact hours of in-service/continuing education in clinical Echocardiography; Registered as a Echocardiographic Technologist.
Basic Life Support (BLS) or Advanced Care Life Support (ACLS) required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Five years experience as Echocardiographic technologist
Registered Echo technologist for minimum of two years
Pay Range
$29.75 - $43.13 /hour
