The Vice President (VP) of Human Resources (HR) is a strategic partner that aligns HR business objectives with employees and management needs within the company. The VP acts as an employee champion and change agent. The VP serves as a consultant to the President/CEO and Leadership Team on leadership and human resource related issues and participates on the Leadership Team in the following areas: 1.  Strategic Planning 2.  Process Improvement 3.  Leadership and Employee Development 4.  Corporate Policy Development

Supervisory Responsibilities: •  Lead and coordinate with managers and supervisors on the day-to-day operations to ensure that Sechan delivers added value to its customers, while meeting and exceeding financial objectives. •  Active participation in strategic business planning to support continuous growth of the Lititz manufacturing operations. •  Regularly review and communicate department performance in attaining goals, measuring performance, and delivering on established corporate metrics. •  Develop and maintain a skilled workforce through timely coaching and feedback, cross-training, and employee development. •  Maintain a sound organizational development plan by establishing policies to drive retention, attract top talent and ensure adequate development of future managers and leaders through succession planning and training initiatives. •  Develop, implement and execute on strategic plans and financial goals across the operational landscape to meet deliverables and drive continuous improvement.

Position Responsibilities: •  Effectively envision, develop, and implement Human Resources strategies, policies, programs, and practices to address competitive, complex business issues. •  Analyze trends and metrics and leads the development of department goals, objectives and systems. •  Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. •  Works with the company's Legal Advisors to ensure the company maintains a diverse, drug free, equal opportunity work force •  Establishes and leads staffing practices and procedures necessary to recruit and retain an effective workforce. •  Develops and implements training and development initiatives to address current capabilities and future training needs, including on-the-job operational training, department special training, management development, leadership and executive development, and new hire orientation and on boarding. •  Plans, develops, implements and administers programs, procedures, and guidelines to help align staff with the strategic goals of the company. •  Leads the implementation and processes of a performance management system. •  Develops and implements compensation strategies and structures that align with company goals. •  Ensures the provisions of cost effective benefits plan; monitor benefits environment for cost savings. •  Directs a process of organizational planning that evaluates structure, job design, and personnel resources for the company. Ensure optimal staffing levels. •  Directs a process of organizational development that addresses issues such as succession planning, workforce development, key employee retention, organization design, workflow efficiency and change management. •  Develops and regularly reviews position descriptions and levels within the organization. •  Formulates and recommends Human Resources policies and objectives for the company that will establish a positive employer-employee relationship and promote a high level of employee morale and motivation, and that comply with policies, procedures, programs and laws. •  Develops strong working relationships with other Executives, management and staff, providing advice, guidance, and coaching as needed. •  Promote Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) and employee ownership principles and culture. •  Coordinate employee communications messaging and methods. •  Develops, implements, and ensures the application of policies, regulations, and standards relating to occupational health and safety. •  Ensures compliance with legislated reporting requirements and due diligence/liability requirements are met. •  Provides general oversight on employee and facility security to ensure compliance. •  Perform other duties as assigned to support the vision, fulfill the mission, and abide by the values of this organization.

Skills & Abilities: •  Strong leadership capabilities. •  Excellent verbal and written communication skills •  Strong conflict management, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. •  Excellent knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines including compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, employee relations, diversity, performance management, federal and state respective employment laws. •  Relevant Aerospace and Defense industry experience a plus; manufacturing experience a must. •  Excellent management and business literacy skills.

Qualifications: •  Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field (Master's degree a plus) •  Minimum of 10 years of experience with strategic HR issues •  PHR or SPHR certification desired

Work Environment: •  Office Environment:  Requires physical capability to work in an office environment including sit/stand up to 9 hours a day and use basic office tools such as a computer, copier/printer, etc. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. •  Be available during core business hours (1st shift). Occasional off-shift hours may also be required to provide support to operations. •  9/80 work schedule. •  Occasional travel may be required. •  Office located in Lititz, PA, with occasional visits to the Lancaster facility.
