International Sr. Data Engineer in Lisle, Illinois

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Sr Data Engineer to join our Digital Solutions Team.

As a Sr. Data Engineer, you will design, develop, and operationalize the MDM platform which includes building data pipelines to integrate data sources to MDM Platform, tuning matching algorithms and developing APIs to enable master data consumption.

This is a hybrid position based three days per week at our headquarters in Lisle, Illinois.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, optimize, and maintain data pipelines, storage, and compute components using Azure Services

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to collect and review MDM requirements and translate them into technical design documents.

  • Perform data analysis and profiling using Collibra data quality platform to support Data Governance initiatives.

  • Foster a culture of sharing, re-use, design for scale, stability, and operational efficiency of data and analytical solutions.

  • Partner with Enterprise Architecture to develop detailed design documents that would be leveraged for development

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • At least 5 years of data engineering, data quality and/or analytics or statistical analysis experience

  • At least 1 year of lead experience

OR

  • Master’s degree

  • At least 3 years of data engineering, data quality and/or analytics or statistical analysis experience

  • At least 1 year of lead experience

OR

  • At least 8 years of data engineering, data quality and/or analytics or statistical analysis experience

  • At least 1 year of lead experience

Additional Requirements

  • Qualified candidates, excluding current International Motors employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. International Motors does not anticipate providing employment related work sponsorship for this position (e.g., H-1B status)

Desired Skills

  • Hands-on experience with MDM tools like Informatica (IDMC/IICS), Reltio or Stibo STEP platform

  • Solid knowledge of data integration patterns, data matching techniques

  • Strong proficiency in PLSQL, Spark, PySpark, Python and Pandas

  • Hands-on experience in Azure Data Factory or Informatica Power center and any data quality tool (Informatica or Talend DQ, Trilium or Ataccama)

  • Experience with DevOps tools like Azure DevOps or Jenkins

  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills to understand business partner needs and deliver solutions

  • Intellectual curiosity to understand and answer questions

  • Intellectual humility to leverage the expertise of others

  • Exemplary organizational skills with attention to detail & accuracy

  • Openness to working in agile environments with multiple stakeholders.

  • Professional attitude and service orientation; team player

  • Good communication and collaboration skills
