Advisors & Consulting Services is the client facing arm of the Services organization and comprises over 3,000 professionals across a range of disciplines including: strategy & transformation, performance analytics, cyber and intelligence, business experimentation, marketing services, and program management.

Our Advisors & Consulting Services talent is essential to the success of our company and our goal is to attract the best professionals and equip them for success in every role at every level.

The Advisors Training Lead will formulate and lead the multi-year Learning & Development strategy for up-skilling, deep-skilling and future-skilling our valued professional services talent.

The leader in this role will also:

  • lead the Advisors Training Council responsible for curating our professional development curriculum.

  • partner with our highly advanced in-house training production team to design, produce and deploy professional training assets and interventions utilizing world leading tools and learning techniques.

The ideal candidate is a visionary leader with a strong track record of unlocking the power of learning & development to up-skill a professional services workforce and build critically important client facing skills including disciplined execution, business strategy development, data-driven decision-making, effective systems thinking and problem solving.

This individual will push the boundaries of professional learning and be a pioneer at the cutting edge of learning technology, disrupting the ways our learners learn, and prepare the next generation of workers who will fully embrace and integrate AI technologies into almost every element of their professional lives. The individual must also balance their compelling vision with the realities of implementation constraints to deliver the maximum impact at scale.

The A&CS Global Training Lead is a member of the Learning & Development Leadership Team and will report to the Senior Vice President, Specialized Product Delivery and work in close partnership with Mastercard’s Chief Learning Officer.

Experience in learning & development strategy, learning science, change management, and stakeholder management is critical. A background in client facing professional services is highly valued.

Responsibilities:

• Partner with leaders in Advisors & Consulting Services, Business Development, and People & Capability to formulate multi-year learning & development strategy and execution roadmap for client delivery and go-to-market talent

• Take a persona-centric view to the learning & development approach and architect a holistic and integrated learning experience that enables well-rounded development and career progression for our employees

• Work in close partnership with peers, subject matter experts and our ‘training faculty’ of committed volunteers to design, build and deliver the holistic and integrated learning experience that will enable our workforce to drive stronger business outcomes for our clients

• Lead the Advisors Training Council to define learning needs and outcomes, design and develop learning offerings, deliver with operational excellence, and measure and monitor for impact and improvement

• Oversee and manage the budget and portfolio of learning assets owned by the Advisors Training Council with a relentless focus on optimizing the return on investment

• Bring in external and forward-looking perspectives on how professional client services talent is evolving as the industry continues to be disrupted with commercial innovations and game-changing technologies

• Lead with a collaborative, inclusive and innovative mindset to bring the Mastercard Way to life

Skills and Qualifications:

• Effective people leader, able to multitask, prioritize and inspire

• Learning, development, and/or talent management experience in a leadership role – professional client services and relevant industry experience advantageous

• Experience in effectively influencing senior leaders and internal partners

• Ability to coordinate effectively across regions and business units to implement global standards

• Experience in negotiating with vendors, managing for performance and holding to account

• Robust global event management and presentation skills (in-person as well as virtual)

• Strong communications skills and creative mindset

• Culture builder and employee experience expert – passionate about fostering an inclusive and diverse workplace

• Ability to build strong and trusted relationships with business and HR leaders as a strategic partner
