Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a talented Mission Assurance Engineer to join our team in Baltimore, MD area.

The Program Mission Assurance Engineer develops, modifies, applies and maintains quality evaluation and control systems and protocols for processing materials into partially finished or finished materials product, focusing on defect minimization and process improvement.

Collaborates with engineering and manufacturing functions to ensure quality standards are in place. Performs oversight and monitoring of program risks and opportunities.

Assists in the performance of independent quality reviews to ensure compliance with contractual and customer requirements.

Designs and analyzes inspection and testing processes, mechanisms, and equipment; conducts quality assurance tests; and performs statistical analysis to assess the cost of and determine the responsibility for, products or materials that do not meet required standards and specifications.

Audits quality systems for deficiency identification and correction assuring process and product quality. Ensures that corrective measures meet acceptable reliability standards and that documentation is compliant with requirements.

Specialize in the areas of design, incoming material, production control, product evaluation and reliability, inventory control and/or research and development as they apply to product or process quality.

Basic Qualifications:

STEM based BS Degree + 12years of exp; MS Degree + 10 years; or PhD + 7 years.

Active Top Secret/SCI clearance required at the time of application.

Experience on Space systems programs, such as payload, OR spacecraft bus, OR antenna, launch, OR ground systems, and/or operations and maintenance activities.

Direct program experience working with the following disciplines: Program Management Office, Global Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Engineering, SEIT, and PM&P.

Experience working with and managing subcontractors.

Experience working with or supporting Integration and Test.

Experience working with or supporting Validation and Verification

Experience supporting Parts, Materials, and Processes Control Board.

Experience support Risk and Opportunity Management Board.

Experience working directly with customers.

Preferred Qualification:

Experience supporting Configuration Control Board.

Experience supporting Engineering Review Board

Experience leading or supporting Failure Review Board

Certified in lean and six-sigma quality engineering methodologies.

Experience with requirements management and the associated tools, i.e. DOORs

Systems engineering experience on complex integrated systems.

Experience on Government contracts.

Experience writing proposals.

Evidence of excellent time management, presentation, and negotiation skills

Salary Range: $163,200 - $244,800

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
