Job Title: Trim Carpenter

Job Description

We are seeking a versatile Trim Carpenter skilled in various aspects of carpentry, including formwork and rough carpentry. The ideal candidate will be a jack of all trades, proficient with power tools, selective demolition, and adherence to company policies and OSHA guidelines. From initial conceptual development to project completion, you will play a vital role in our construction projects.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain construction equipment.

  • Assist equipment operators, carpenters, and skilled labor as needed.

  • Prepare construction sites by clearing obstacles and hazards.

  • Handle loading and unloading of materials.

  • Assemble and dismantle temporary structures, like scaffolding.

  • Excavate, fill, or compact earth.

  • Support craft workers.

  • Participate in on-the-job training.

  • Understand construction design, technical plans, blueprints, and models.

  • Read plans, use mathematics for layout, and problem-solve effectively.

  • Communicate effectively in English for instructions and teamwork.

  • Demonstrate strong organizational skills with goal-setting abilities.

  • Travel to job sites as required.

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, and push or pull loads of similar weight

  • Capability to stand, walk, and climb stairs for up to eight hours daily while handling materials

Work Environment

You will be working primarily on commercial new builds, performing tasks ranging from trim, rough, and finish carpentry to assisting with pre-engineered metal structures. Flexibility is essential as you may be required to work on various job sites, primarily in Lincoln but potentially in surrounding areas.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lincoln, Nebraska.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $30.00/hr.
