Job Description
Summary
Responsible for trade compliance and day to day administration of import/export in accordance with government rules and regulations. Obtain export licenses when required. Reviews contracts for trade compliance clause accuracy. Coordinate with internal and external customers, order administration/sales personnel, freight forwarders, and other functional areas, e.g. purchasing to ensure timely and compliant import and export filings.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Perform Denied Party Screening including the review and analysis of any resultant “hits”
Perform Transaction Red Flag screening and prepare the review and analysis for review by the Import/Export Manager
Prepare license applications, international permits, technology control plans as needed.
Prepare and distribute Internal Control Plans (ICP), tracking certification responses to the ICP
Assist the Import/Export Manager in conducting periodic audits and self-audits.
Prepare the preliminary analysis for licensing reviews for technology transfers, including marketing materials, proposals and engineering data.
Maintain all trade compliance logs, including scanning and attaching record related documentation
Assist the Import/Export Manager in conducting regular export compliance training for senior management, engineers, scientists, shipping, sales and marketing and other functions involved in exporting hardware and/or technology
Develop cross-functional relationships within the organization as required
Assist the Import/Export Manager, Corporate Legal - International Trade Compliance Office with investigations of any incidences of purported non-compliance with import and export laws and regulations Education and/or Experience Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university in a related field is preferred and 2-5-years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Computer Skills To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of MS Outlook; MS Excel and MS Word software. Other Essential Duties Follows all import/export requirements, consulting with facility import/export personnel as required.
