Actalent Civil Project Engineer in Lincoln, Nebraska

Job Title: Civil Project EngineerJob Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Civil Project Engineer to join our team. This role involves a combination of office work, work-from-home, and site visits. You will work with Project Managers and Engineers on various solid waste, electric utility, and environmental management projects. Your work will include preparing technical reports, compliance documents, and engineering designs. Responsibilities

  • Adhering to health and safety protocols.

  • Conducting site visits and performing environmental monitoring.

  • Performing CAD drafting using AutoCAD and Civil 3D.

  • Assisting with the design and permitting of solid waste and electric utility facilities.

  • Preparing permit applications and coordinating with regulatory agencies.

  • Preparing calculations for reports and supporting design documents.

  • Reviewing technical documents to ensure completeness and conformance to requirements.

  • Communicating with clients for field work coordination, project updates, reporting, design document status, permitting status, and meetings.

  • Conducting and documenting construction quality assurance observations for compliance with construction documents.

  • Preparing proposals and cost estimates.

Essential Skills

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering from an accredited institution.

  • Civil Engineering EIT certification.

  • 5 years of related work experience in design and project management in the civil engineering field.

  • Competence in using MS Office and other computer software commonly used in engineering consulting.

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D design software.

  • Ability to read and understand engineering plans and specifications.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in the consulting industry, including environmental compliance and solid waste management, is preferred but not required.

  • Interest in solid waste and environmental projects.

  • Professional Engineer (PE) track is a plus.

Work Environment

The work environment includes an open concept office in the Millard area, close to the interstate. The office was recently revamped within the last year. Onsite visits to heavy industrial construction sites are required. The role allows for some work-from-home flexibility. Dress code is business casual.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $105000.00
