We’re looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Asset Planning Engineer to join our dynamic team! In this role, you’ll help ensure the reliability of critical infrastructure through strategic asset management, system planning, data analysis, and standards development.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Engineer ($81,166-$101,458) - Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.

  • Engineer III ($93,342-$116,678) - Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, and at least three years of progressive engineering experience in area of assignment. Or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.

  • Senior Engineer ($107,342-$134,178) - Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, and at least six years of progressively responsible engineering experience in area of assignment. Or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND CORE COMPETENCIES

Provides professional engineering support which may include the following: developing engineering guidelines, developing long and short-range construction programs, coordinating implementation of construction programs, developing financial plans for capital construction and coordinating with adjacent electrical utilities. Specific duties include completing studies and justification packages to identify and document the need for and benefits of capital improvement projects and solving technical issues using electric system data. May lead small to medium projects with minimal guidance. Consistent and reliable attendance is required.

  • Performs engineering and technical work related to the construction and management of proposed and existing facilities, developments, and/or programs.

  • Performs load flow analysis of distribution system for normal and contingency operating conditions.

  • Performs fuse coordination studies for distribution system.

  • Conducts studies related to existing and proposed system facilities.

  • Represents the organization in meetings with engineers, architects, and neighboring electric utilities.
