Robert Half Accounts Payable Clerk in Lincoln, Nebraska

Description

We are seeking a competent Accounts Receivable Specialist for a contract to hire position in the healthcare industry, based in Lincoln, Nebraska. The selected candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of invoicing, billing, and collections within the organization.

Responsibilities: • Coordinate and maintain all transaction records and reports, ensuring highest level of accuracy and efficiency. • Conduct reconciliation tasks and prepare invoices for collection, whilst monitoring all related transactions for discrepancies. • Manage collections in a timely manner as prescribed by the finance department. • Reconcile accounts receivable and general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and consistency. • Direct the preparation of month-end work papers and journal entries both promptly and adeptly. • Engage effectively with clients regarding invoice status, ensuring clear lines of communication and professional interaction. • Offer valuable feedback to internal leaders about the billing process and departmental responsibilities. • Guarantee the promptness and appropriateness of monthly financial reports and collections.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. • At least two years of experience in an Accounts Receivable role. • Proficiency in accounting software, MS Excel, and other relevant financial tools. • Strong numerical competency and attention to detail. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with clients and internal team. • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively. • Knowledge of accounting principles and practices. • Experience with data entry and record keeping. • Proven ability to handle sensitive and confidential information. • Demonstrated problem-solving skills and the ability to resolve discrepancies. • Familiarity with financial regulations and standards. • Strong organizational skills to maintain financial records and reports. • Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure. • Knowledge of the billing process.
