Role Purpose:

Johnson & Johnson Vision Care , a member of Johnson & Johnson's Family of Companies, is looking for a highly motivated Graduate Process Engineer to join our team in Limerick, Ireland . As a Graduate Process Engineer, you will have the chance to work in our advanced manufacturing facility and play a key role in the development and commercialization of new products in the field of disposable contact lenses.

As a Graduate Process Engineer, you will play a key role in maintaining our world-class standards and ensuring flawless product quality.

In this role, you will be part of our Research and Development (R&D) New Process Introduction (NPI) team. You will work closely with various teams to ensure the successful implementation of new product introductions and the improvement of manufacturing line processes. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting new product introductions by developing manufacturing line processes optimized for the new product.

  • Completing characterisation activities to determine product and process interactions, as well as appropriate process boundaries.

  • Working as a technical core team member on NPI projects, leading activities for line processes to achieve targeted product lens specifications.

  • Analyzing data and evaluating lens performance using statistical tools and techniques.

  • Carrying out procedures for validation and manufacturing lenses for clinical assessment.

  • Continuously improving and optimizing product quality and process yield.

  • Solving complex process and product issues using problem-solving techniques and decision-making tools.

  • Summarizing work and findings in clear and concise reports and presentations.

  • Ensuring all process developments and characterizations meet the Quality Management System requirements.

  • Collaborating with the Manufacturing organization to effectively transfer NPI to operations.

Qualifications

What you will bring:

  • To excel in this position, applicants should have as a minimum a Bachelor's degree (Level 8) in a technical field such as Engineering, Physics, or Chemistry.

  • Recent graduates are encouraged to apply.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, along with attention to detail, are crucial.

  • Additionally, effective interpersonal and communication abilities, as well as demonstrated leadership qualities, are necessary.
