West Ohio Food Bank Warehouse Manager in Lima, Ohio

The Warehouse Manager is responsible for the overall coordination of West Ohio Food Bank's (WOFB) warehouse operations. The Warehouse Operations Director is responsible for local, state, and federal reporting. 

Ensure all warehouse operations are in alignment with American Institute of Baking (AIB), United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Ohio Department of Job & Family Services (ODJFS), Feeding America (FA), and any other oversight organizations.

 

Reports To: COO                      

FLSA Status: Full Time/Exempt

First Shift: 7:00AM-5:30PM/ 40 Hours a week, weekends off

Pay: $45,000 - $48,000 annually

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. 

 

Managerial Oversight Responsibilities:

  • Provide supervisory responsibilities in accordance with policy and applicable laws.

``` - Design and implement a system to provide performance metrics for areas of operations in partnership with the CEO.  - Understand and provide input of the warehouse budget.

``` - Support effective inventory control methods through direct oversight of Inventory Controller to ensure monthly cycle counts and year-end inventory of all products received and distributed. - Support effective inventory control methods to ensure monthly cycle counts and year-end inventory of all products received and distributed are conducted, counting accuracy, proper storage, labeling, effective rotation, shelf-life monitoring, timely distribution of product, minimized shrinkage, shipping, receiving, and reporting accuracy. - Provide required documentation to auditors for end of the year auditing purposes. - Ensure First in First Out (FIFO) methodology is used throughout the warehouse. - Ensure cleanliness and sanitation of food distribution and warehouse areas. - Assist in the development of annual department work plans, goals, objectives, reporting and performance measurements, in cooperation with the CEO. - Train warehouse staff in best practices for compliance with AIB & Occupational Health & Safety Administration (OSHA). - Crosstrain for all warehouse positions for PTO coverage. - Work with Warehouse Staff to maintain American Institute of Baking (AIB) compliance. - Meet with warehouse and logistics staff daily to discuss work plan and establish priorities.  - Participate in special projects as requested. - Participate in all inspection processes and develop a correction action plan, with approval from the CEO.  Implement corrective action plans in coordination with approved vendors and CEO. - Active participation in Staff Meetings. - Provide training and certification in forklift and electric pallet jack operations and provide quarterly assessments with skills test completed. - Work in conjunction with Communications & Public Relations Manager to schedule delivery and pick-up of all food drive barrel and collections. - Strictly adhere to and enforce all safety rules. - Ability to withhold confidential matters pertaining to WOFB from external stakeholders. - Follow and enforce all policies and procedures of WOFB. - Maintains a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following safety practices and policies stated in AIB policy and procedures manuals.
