Responsibilities and work hours:
The work hours of the Materials Expeditor are 7:30a to 4:00p Monday-Friday, reporting to the Warehouse Manager. Responsibilities include: negotiating commodity inventory pricing and terms with vendor/suppliers, obtaining vendor quotes and generating purchase orders for the procurement of inventory stock (commodity) items and sundries & consumables, managing the process of distributing inventory to and from jobsites, use of inventory management system to monitor inventory levels and manage inventory min/max levels for efficient use of resources and re-order point optimization, auditing physical inventory quantities to ensure accuracy, and other duties that may be assigned by your supervisor.
Qualifications and skills we are looking for:
The ideal candidate will possess at least a 2 year degree and 5 years of related purchasing experience. Working knowledge of pipe and pipe valves & fittings is preferred. Experience with Microsoft Office products (Word & Excel) is essential.
