Goods Movement Technicians are responsible for the safe and effective operation of a forklift, interaction with site automation as well as flowing to all areas of our operations to keep us running smoothly. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety and quality protocols, system ownership and equipment ownership for the area in which you operate, the ability to work in a team environment, and efficient handling of materials and finished product to support the Supply Warehouse's operation.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Conducting inspections of the Forklift and other related equipment to ensure it's in proper working condition
  • Unloading inbound Automatic Truck Loading System (ATLS) trailers, receipts, and shuttles
  • Pulling staged product and loading it into trailers
  • Staging feeder products and materials for customization lines
  • Unloading, staging, and storing partial pallets to facilitate partial consolidation
  • Performing line takeaway for pallets and materials
  • Ensuring our automated systems are running at full compacity
  • Maintaining accurate inventory records using a Radio Data Terminal (RDT)
  • Keeping areas cleaned and organized to prevent obstructing the view of pedestrians or drivers

We believe in order to be able to perform on the job, you will need to meet the following physical requirements:

  • Use basic hand and power tools
  • Lift 50 pounds by bending and stooping, climb, stand, and move around on stairs, ladders, and platforms; twist, turn, and bend
  • Stand on concrete floors for an extended periods of time
  • Sit for extended periods of time
  • Discern the various visual and audible alarms and signals for equipment start-up etc.

The Goods Movement Technicians at the Lima Procter & Gamble Supply Warehouse will operate on a 7-day 12-hour non-rotating shift schedule. The work schedule will be a 2-2-3 non-rotating schedule that allows you to work on straight days (5:30 a.m. -- 6:00 p.m.) OR straight nights (5:30 p.m. -- 6:00 a.m.). Changes in business volume and production requirements can cause the Supply Warehouse to occasionally change the length of work shifts or the rotation schedule. Technicians are expected to be willing to rotate and to work any shift.
