The program provides new grads with a broad understanding of Cenovus's core business through challenging work assignments, training and development, field exposure and the opportunity to develop a large network of contacts through networking and mentorship opportunities. The new Grad Instrumentation EIT would work in a team of professionals in the Instrumentation & Electrical Reliability Engineering team and provide technical support to Lima refinery operations, maintenance, projects, and turnaround teams. EIT would help the team to meet & exceed key metrics and work for continuous improvements in reliability and availability. The successful candidate shall be technically qualified and work & promote team building (One Team), Safety, Cenovus Culture, and open communication. An example of a breadth of rotational experience could include the following: * Year 1: Instrumentation Engineering - learning and applying measurement and control technologies, including Transmitters, PLCs, Valves, etc. * Year 2: Electrical Engineering - learning and applying electrical motors, substations, transformers. etc. * Year 3: PLC and DCS (Control and Process Control) - Programmable logic controls and DCS During the three-year program you will be expected to be open to relocating to any of Cenovus's operating sites for your rotations and/or your end-of-program placement. Upon completion of the three-year program, you will be matched to a permanent role within the organization. This role will be based on business needs and relocation may be required. What you'll do The New Grad - Instrumentation Engineer-In-Training will be an integral part of the Instrumentation & Electrical Reliability Engineering Team and would work with key partners including Instrumentation, Electrical, PLC, SIS, Analyzer group, Maintenance, Process Control, PSM and Process Engineering. This role is based locally at the Lima, OH Refinery and will provide additional exposure to Toledo and Superior refineries in the USA. EIT would often work in a team of skilled professionals with occasional independent assignments which will be reviewed and mentored by assigned experienced leaders. EIT would assume the following responsibilities specific to their rotation: * Help the team to achieve the Key metrics: LRC Journey book goals, Instrumentation Reliability Improvements, PM Optimization, Bad Actor elimination, Standardization, Spare Parts Optimization etc. * Work with the team to troubleshoot and provide technical solutions to Instrumentation, PLC and Analyzer related issues that impact refinery operations, safety and environmental monitoring * Work with Project engineers for engineering reviews, field walkdowns and field implementation * Work & learn with maintenance & Operations teams and provide technical solutions as needed * Identify and propose opportunities for improvements Who you are * Legally authorized to work in the US * Available to begin work June 2025 * Must have an undergraduate engineering degree in Engineering (Instrumentation/Electronics/Electrical/Chemical) obtained by May 31, 2025, and completed within the last 2 years * Valid Class D Driver's License with no restrictions Preferred * Membership with ISA/IEEE * Knowledge on ISA, API, NFPA, ANSI, IEC Standard * Knowledge on MS Office, AutoCAD, SAP/Maximo, Visio etc.Apply here: https://www.aplitrak.com/?adid=YmJnZW5lcmljLjgxODE2LjEwNTA4QGNlbm92dXNjb21wLmFwbGl0cmFrLmNvbQ
