Job Title: Electronic Assembler

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Electronic Assembler to join our team. This role involves assembling electronics and server hardware components with precision and attention to detail. The position is full-time, first shift, from 7:00 am to 4:30 pm, with the potential for Saturday overtime on the last Saturday of each month. The starting wage is $18 per hour.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Follow detailed assembly instructions, processes, and procedures to assemble computer hardware components.

  • Complete tasks as described by production schedules with minimum supervision and ensure all components are picked according to the order.

  • Work and communicate in a professional manner.

  • Achieve departmental work goals.

  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.

  • Communicate suggestions and feedback to improve build documents.

  • Conduct basic math calculations.

  • Record any non-conformances.

  • Perform visual quality inspections.

  • Load and unload materials onto or from a cart.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Day-to-Day Tasks:

  • Open the electronic order tracking system.

  • Select the most urgent build and mark it as "open task".

  • Grab the corresponding parts cart with all necessary materials for the build.

  • Verify in the system that all correct parts and quantities are on the cart.

  • Print labels for the computer to be built.

  • Follow step-by-step instructions on the computer screen to assemble the computer or server.

  • Use a torque screwdriver to put the computer together.

  • Return completed parts to the cart for another employee to wire the computers.

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in LIBERTYVILLE, Illinois.

Work Environment

The facility builds different types of computers and servers for various clients. The entire facility is temperature controlled, very organized, and extremely clean. Employees can wear whatever they like and are allowed to wear headphones during their shift. The facility features a huge cafeteria with free healthy snacks and drinks, a Foosball table, and other activities for employees to use during breaks. There is also a large TV available for viewing during breaks. Each assembler will have their own workstation with a high-top table, a swivel chair, and a large vertical monitor to view orders and emails. A cart with the parts for the build they are working on will be near them.
